Based out of Nairobi, Kenya, Ben Mungai started his journey with Kicks Kenya in 2020. After completing his medical degree, the sneaker enthusiast in Ben saw a gap in the market and decided to seize the opportunity to take the industry by storm. As of 2023, Kicks Kenya has loyal customers shopping on their app from Sweden, Denmark, France, and several other countries!
Ben wanted to establish Kicks Kenya as the one-stop shop and the most prominent footwear brand in the country. The ambition, however, came with a few challenges of its own!

Kicks Kenya leveraged a few simple ways to get their users to start using their mobile apps - Ben got celebrities to join their live sessions on their socials to talk about the app and promote it, and offered app-only discounts and special giveaways to shoppers who make purchases on the app.
