Introducing Rewynd - Travel Back in Time With Live Video Replays

Ever since we launched Blynk, the request for live video replays has inundated our inboxes, with a lot of customers, especially boutiques asking for it. We’ve been working on it over the last couple of months and we’re super excited to announce that it’s now ready for you to use.

You can now build a library of your past live sale sessions and let your customers rewatch and shop from them.

What is Rewynd?

When you go live, we’ll record the session and allow you to post it in the app later. Customers who have missed the session will be able to watch it along with the comments and everything, as if it’s in real-time.

We’ve added a little component inside the Blynk dashboard, that will let you add the videos as a widget to your mobile app’s homepage.

How does it work?

Once you set up your live session in the Blynk dashboard, you’ll get an option to add the Rewynd widget to your dashboard. When you enable this, head to the “Customize Content” section in the left navigation, and you’ll be able to customize this widget just like any other widget.

The videos get added automatically but you can choose to display either the most viewed ones or the most recent ones. You can also disable specific videos from being shown inside the widget.

Your customers can click on the videos and watch it like an usual live session. They’ll have options to browse through the products and add them to their carts directly from the video.

In case, the items or variants that went live have sold out, that will be grayed out, letting the customer know that they’re a bit late to the party. You can also download the videos to your device and use them later. You know, upload to Facebook and stuff…

Pricing, availability, and app updates

Rewynd is now available from the Growth plan onwards. If you’re in a different plan, you need to upgrade your subscription before you can start using it.

You also need to have the latest version of the app Android (2.5.88) and iOS (2.26.8). If you don’t have the updated version, reach out to us and drop an update request. You can do it right from inside the Blynk dashboard.
